what is the difference between Premium and Fancy Listing?
I understand that premium is $30 a month and Fancy Listing is a flat fee of $250. I have reviewed your page about pricing and payment but it only confused me. My band wants to begin press for our album which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2013 and I am trying to figure out what both of these services offer. Thanks

Hi Daniel,
Sorry for the confusion. There are two types of "dispatches" in StoryAmp:
- event (or concert/performance) - release (recording)
In either case you can choose to have a:
- free listing -- which is a one line listing with your activity date, artist name, genres, and a view link (also the concert city if it is an event dispatch - fancy listing -- all of the above plus a photo, short pitch (a.k.a. blurb), a play button (if you have added audio), and an "add to queue" button (which is like a Netflix queue for music journalists.
For events, the fee is $30 per month for unlimited Fancy Listings.
For a release, it is a $250 flat fee per genre for the Fancy Listing. When you purchase a release Fancy Listing and add your release more than six weeks in advance of the release date, the dispatch will be sent to music journalists 6, 4, and 2 weeks before the release date. It's also important to note that for release dispatches, we only have press lists for these genres:
- indie rock - electronica - hip hop - americana/roots - jazz - classical - world music - children's music
For events, we have well over one hundred concert city press lists.
Does that answer your question?
Thank you!

this does answer my question. Being that I want to promote my band's
upcoming album, I will go with the flat fee of $250.00. I have one final
question. We are not scheduled to release the album until June 25th 2013.
Since the furthest you offer is 6 weeks prior to the release date, it looks
like the soonest we can purchase your service is in May. I would like to
start promoting the album in April. Can you suggest any service from your
company so that we can begin the PR campaign in April?
