Hello!

I had a general question about release timings. How far in advance can you schedule a release? The label I am working with wants to schedule the album's release date no later than Indigenous Peoples/Columbus day, so the week of October 11th. Is it possible to write the press release and hold it until then?

   Hi Kara,

   Yes, StoryAmp is great for someone like you who is planning this far in
   advance. StoryAmp works best when you enter all the information more than
   six weeks in advance. Your release will not be sent to the press until 6
   weeks before the release date. That is the optimal amount of time we have
   found for getting on the radar of journalists. So StoryAmp sendes one fancy
   Listing six weeks before the release date and sends the Fancy Listing two
   more times -- four weeks before the release date and two weeks before the
   release date.

   Hi Thankyou for getting back...and thankyou for the great service you all
   provide! The original release date was May 31, 2022...Now due to several
   issues the new release date will be July 5, 2022...I'm sorry for the push
   back but an issue with the recording has pushed it back due to a
   glitch...we are fixing it now...Thankyou...and if it is not possible to
   change the date we can at least release a Clip I believe...thanks again

   Hi Dmitry, the tracks for Unloveable got erased somehow when he my band
   member upgraded his computer...we are re-recording it...and pretty much
   just have to mix the song now...they had assured him the individual tracks
   were still there but eventually the computer tech couldn't find them
   either...we are aiming for the last Tuesday in September now so that we
   have ample time to submit for playlists etc...do I have to do a new
   campaign or can I just change the release date? Thanks for your help...I
   know you guys ate busy...

   Hi Joseph,

   Since the release date has past, I think the best course of action would be
   to create a new Dispatch in StoryAmp. You can copy and paste most of the
   text, etc. By the way, I assume you know that one track is still on
   StoryAmp if you need to retrieve it:

    I’m inquiring to find out where an artist add the Soundcloud link to their music in their Dispatch… not a link to your music specifically I do not see that option. Do you know where?

    Hi Phil...Soundcloud has changed and although One of the songs is still on
    it I can't find a link for the band itself...is it OK to just remove that
    link? Also should I add a promo clip of the new song? Thankyou for all

    I’m not sure what’s up with this. According to Dimitri at StoryAmp, they ended their arrangement with SoundCloud some years ago… however that info was never updated at the StoryAmp website which caused me some confusion.

    I’d include your video and audio links in your Dispatch.
