Impressions - what are they?
Hi -
I couldn't find any info on this, sorry if I just overlooked it. I noticed that my press release has gotten 4 impressions, yet no plays or downloads. What are impressions?
Thanks very much
Dave

Hi David,
Sorry for the confusion about the term. For our purposes, we use the
term "Impressions" to mean any time that the small version of your
Dispatch (a.k.a. press release) shows up on the screen of a
Journalist. When a Journalist logs into StoryAmp, they see a list of
short Dispatches relevant to their genres of interest and concert
cities of interest, that fit within their "lead time" (the amount of
time they need to cover a release or concert). If they then choose to
click on your Dispatch to see the full version, we count that as a
View. Plays = number of times a track for that Dispatch has been
streamed. Downloads = number of times a journalist has downloaded a
track for that Dispatch.
I hope that helps!

Hi Dmitri,
This is the perfect answer I was looking for - since I don't even need to ask about it to get the answer, I'm taking here the chance to express my surprise and my satisfaction... I'm a new member, for about a week, but I'm really pleased with this very professional Site, concept, content, easy to get in, useful, and actually giving results.
Thanks to the all team!
Simone.

sorry but I'm still slightly confused...
you said that impressions are when our dispatches appear on the screen of a journalist, but it says to the "444 sent." I thought the number above 'sent' meant how many journalists it was sent out to...so are impressions something a journalists clicks on or something when your dispatch has actually made an impression on them?
very confused help!
