I paid $250 to have 70% of the emails StoryAMP sent out to be ignored/unopened
I wanted to point out that most of the dispatches sent out weren't acknowledged by the recipient, which makes me wonder if your email list is updated, etc. Of the 30% that did actually acknowledge the dispatch, only a tiny percent clicked through. This is all with a very well-written press release and objectively interesting and original music. I might suggest warning future customers to tone down their expectations for your service, as a $250 price tag for a rather small click-through rate and essentially zero results might resound as predatory for people opting to use StoryAMP without a record label or their own management team. This site may make more sense for concert events (targeting journalists near the venue you are playing), but for a record release, I wanted to leave this comment and say that I was very surprised with how ineffective the mass-email dispatch actually was.
