activity
(the concert or the release) is more than 2 weeks out. It is best
if it is entered into StoryAmp more than 6 weeks before the concert
or
release, as the system s email to press 6, 4, and 2 weeks before
each
activity. Note that the concert or release date MUST be
accurate
though as journalists will unsubscribe from you (or complain to us)
if
you change the date or send out multiple Dispatches for the
same
release.

In addition, the Dispatches are only emailed to journalists if
we have
a matching genre for releases or a matching city for concerts. We
have
100+ concert cities and are adding more. For releases we only have
the
following genres:

indie rock
Americana/roots
electronica
jazz
classical
world music

The reason the Dispatch did not get distributed is that there
was not enough time between when you added the Dispatch to StoryAmp
and the release date you selected. StoryAmp emails Dispatches to
journalists 6, 4, and 2 weeks before the release date (or concert
date if it was an event Dispatch). If you have the liberty to
select a release date based on your publicity needs, please select
a release date at least one day more than 6 weeks away from the
time you enter the Dispatch into StoryAmp, that way you get the
advantage of having StoryAmp send out your Dispatch three times (6,
4, and 2 weeks before the release date). I went ahead and credited
your account back. Please try StoryAmp again when you have enough
lead time.

Thank you!

Dmitri @ StoryAmp

teamtag:support.storyamp.com,2011-09-16:Comment/159364542012-07-03T13:46:34Z2012-07-03T13:46:34ZDispatch Problem

Many thanks Dmitri,

We feel that because it is the release of a YouTube video clip,
there is
still value in a dispatch after it has received some public views.
Is it
possible for you to still forward this dispatch? We are happy to
pay for
this service.

Kind regards,
